Gift card terms and conditions

1. General

These Gift Card Terms and Conditions (these “Terms”) apply for the sale of gift cards on this website by Fjällräven Retail USA LLC, 1795 Dogwood St. Louisville, CO 80027, and its affiliates ("Seller"). In addition, the General Terms and Conditions of the Seller apply, unless otherwise stated in the Gift Card Terms and Conditions below.

The Seller reserves the right to amend, modify or terminate these Gift Card Terms and Conditions at any time. The most recent version of these Terms will be available here and the date these Terms were last updated is at the top of this page.

2. Use of gift cards

The gift cards can only be used to make purchases of goods from the Seller´s online shops at www.hanwag.com/us in the original currency the gift card was purchased in. You can use the gift card to pay for the full value or part of the value of your selected good(s). If the value of the gift card is not sufficient to cover the order, one of the other payment methods offered by the Seller can be chosen to settle the difference. Gift cards cannot be used to purchase other gift cards. Gift cards cannot be reloaded, resold, refunded, transferred for value or redeemed for cash, except to the extent required by law.

Your gift card balance will be updated after each transaction in which the gift card is used.

You can always check your current balance online at https://www.hanwag.com/us/en-us/gift-card-information. Such balance is however an estimate only. The balance is generally adjusted immediately after you make a purchase, but the updated balance may be delayed for a period of time.

The number of gift cards you can purchase is limited to 10 per transaction.

You can only redeem 10 gift cards per purchase.

If you use a gift card in addition to another payment method for an order and you subsequently return the purchased good(s), the gift card will be refunded first and the remaining balance (if any) will be refunded to the other payment method.

Gift cards cannot be retroactively credited to a purchase. You can of course use your gift card for any subsequent purchase.

The value and/or balance of a gift card is neither paid out in cash nor will it accrue interest.

You may transfer your gift card to a different owner.

3. Payment

Payment for gift cards can be made via the available payment options. Please read more here.

The minimum value per gift card is 10 USD. The maximum value per gift card you can purchase is 1000 USD.

4. Delivery

Gift cards will be provided to you by e-mail unless otherwise agreed.

The gift card will be sent to the chosen recipient's email address immediately after the purchase is complete or at the specific delivery date requested by you.

5. Validity

Gift cards and remaining balances on gift cards can be redeemed at any time and do not expire. No fees apply to your use of gift cards.

6. Limited Liability

Gift cards are not a credit or debit card. Please treat your gift card as cash. The Seller is not liable for gift cards once purchased and will not replace gift cards that are lost, stolen, inactivated or damaged. SELLER MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO GIFT CARDS, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN THE EVENT A GIFT CARD IS NON-FUNCTIONAL, YOUR SOLE REMEDY, AND SELLER’S SOLE LIABILITY, WILL BE THE REPLACEMENT OF THAT GIFT CARD. CERTAIN STATE LAWS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY TO YOU, SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE DISCLAIMERS, EXCLUSIONS, OR LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU, AND YOU MAY HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS.

7. Compliance with laws

By purchasing a gift card, you are certifying and representing to Seller that the activities in connection with which the gift card will be used will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws, rules and regulations, and that the gift card will not be used in any manner that is misleading, deceptive, unfair or otherwise harmful to consumers or Seller. In addition, you agree to defend and indemnify Seller from and against any claims, expenses or liabilities made against or incurred by any of them in connection with your use of the gift cards or any violation of these Terms.

8. General Terms

When you purchase, receive, or apply a gift card to a purchase, you agree that the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, will govern these Terms and any dispute that may arise between you and Seller related to your use of a gift card. All of these Terms are applicable to the extent permitted by law. If any of these Terms are deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that unenforceable term will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining Terms.
