A SEAM ON THE SHOE HAS COME LOOSE OR THE SOLES NEED TO BE REPLACED?

Despite high-quality materials and outstanding workmanship, intensive use can take its toll over time even on high-quality footwear and lead to signs of wear or individual parts can be damaged during use. Since we focus on longevity, we offer various services for our shoes. For example, the renewal of linings, seams, fittings or a resole.

RESOLING

How do you know when it’s time to get your boots resoled?

For your own safety, it’s important to make sure your footwear is in good condition. If the tread is worn down, then it’s worth thinking about getting your boots or shoes resoled – or if the midsole material in your boots has hardened and starts to crumble, or even worse, the outsole comes loose. In this case usually the answer is – hydrolysis of the midsole. Learn more about hydrolysis here.

We generally recommend that you have our products inspected by us or a HANWAG specialist retailer after six years of service.

What is done during a resole?

Resoling is real manual work. First, the old sole is cut down and all remains are removed, as is the rubber rand. Then the complete sole structure is renewed: the rubber rand is redrawn and the new outsole with integrated damping wedge is glued and set. At the end, the shoes get the finishing touches.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO?

Does your shoe need a new sole or other repair? We would kindly ask you to send your boots to our current service partner in UK – Lancashire Sports Repairs (LSR). On their website you can find their price list and any further information: www.lsr.repair
