A finished Hanwag mountain boot consists of on average 180 separate parts. It’s a complex construction that requires extensive shoemaking expertise and experience. To build boots and shoes with a consistently high quality,means having the right people and the right materials.

The close proximity to our production sites in Hungary and Croatia allows us to continue our demanding construction methods together with local employees according to our rigorous Hanwag quality standards.

This also includes sourcing and working with the finest, high-quality materials – ‘Made in Europe’. To ensure maximum sustainability, the supply chain for virtually all Hanwag raw materials is located within the European Union. This enables shorter transport routes and reduces corresponding CO2 emissions.
