THE RIGHT COMPOUND – FOR PERFECT PERFORMANCE

We equip all our mountaineering and trekking boots and shoes with the right sole unit for their area of activity and specific requirements. The right sole ensures that they deliver optimal performance. Together with our partners VIBRAM®, MICHELIN Technical Soles and Co., we are continually working to develop new technologies. The different rubber compounds and sole types we use offer the ideal grip, stability, security and comfort for a wide range of terrain and activities. Here’s an overview.

VIBRAM® ALPIN

• Torsionally stiff sole, crampon compatible
• Narrow tip with special climbing zone
• Insulating air chambers and mid-sole PU cushioning element
• Self-cleaning tread

VIBRAM® ALPIN LIGHT

VIBRAM® PEPE

• Highly technical and innovative sole with honeycomb structure for a significant loss of weight

• Wide contact surface at heel for good stability on longer walks for more cushioning
• Tried-and-tested Vibram Trekking rubber compound
• Designed to work together with our SF-Extra Last with an exceptionally cushioning PU midsole

VIBRAM® AW INTEGRAL

• Very stable thanks to incorporation of a (stiffening) shank into the midsole
• Very supportive
• Trekking profile with impact and braking tread blocks

VIBRAM® FUORA

• Counterposed braking tread blocks in middle section
• PU shock absorber
• Stabilising anti-supination/overpronation elements for motion control
• Women’s version with raised heel
